Our Trip to Hubers Farm in Indiana
I took the day off last Friday to spend with my mom and grandmother. Her nursing home was taking a trip to Hubers in Starlight, IN. Mom and I went to spend the day with her and to help out with the others that went. Almost all were in wheelchairs so an extra set of hands was appreciated. We had a wonderful lunch with fried biscuits and apple butter for starters, then went outside. What a gorgeous day it was! The weather was perfect. Cool in the morning and then warmed up into the 80's with lots of sunshine. A great day to soak up the sunlight for these residents. I think the highlight for all of them was feeding the ducks at the lake. There were machines that dispensed food and we passed out food to anyone that wanted some (which was everyone)! I think they could have stayed all day watching the ducks! My grandmother had a wonderful day.
After everyone was loaded up into the vans, my mom and I went to the winery for some complimentary wine sampling! That was fun too. Here are some images of the beautiful scenery.
