Aaah, one of my favorite things about fall has to be the FOOD. I love steaming hot apple cider on a crisp fall day. And caramel apples, apple butter and fried biscuits, gingerbread cake, spice cake with caramel icing, mulled wine, cream cheese pumpkin rolls, and candy corn. Can you tell I have a sweet tooth? Do you have a stomachache by now?
Mixing candy corn and peanuts is nothing new in our household. If you have not tried it, please do! A handful of candy corn with peanuts tastes just like a Payday candy bar but is a lot more fun to eat. A new little twist is to add some of the Halloween M&M's for a little taste of chocolate and some extra color. Very tasty and I have to admit we are on our second batch of this already. I could not find the Halloween version of M&M's at Target but they did have them at Walgreens so I bought several bags.
Enjoy! This comes but once a year!

Glad to see I'm not the only one with a hopeless sweet tooth. I looked for Brach's candy corn the last two times I went to the store, but couldn't find it - must be going to the wrong stores. I have had it mixed with the peanuts (very yummy), but not the M&Ms.
YUM... good thing I have some jelly bellys buttered popcorn flavor. Oh yeah, baby.
I love everything about fall. I do miss my son being young enough to have a trick or treat bag I could steal errrr I mean sample from.... sigh, those were the good old days.
Oh wow, there are others out there that like the buttered popcorn jelly bellys? I thought I was the only one!!
